Proper Good Pub Food
Our chefs pour passion into every dish, focusing on bold, honest flavors. Think homemade pies, juicy steaks, continental favourites, vibrant vegetables with a proper bite, and sweets that catch the eye. These are dishes served steaming, full of character and often sourced from talented local producers. Nothing overly complicated, just done with care and skill. The drinks? Local ales with stories to tell, wines picked for their true taste, British spirits chosen with thought, and cocktails designed to delight without fuss. Come join us, food to enjoy, drinks to share, and moments to remember.
Mother's Day
Make Mum feel truly appreciated this Mother’s Day with a delicious meal in a welcoming setting. From relaxed family gatherings to special moments shared together, our thoughtfully prepared dishes and inviting atmosphere create the perfect place to celebrate. All you need to do is enjoy great food and even better company while we take care of the rest.

Crafted Drinks
Our Pub drinks are selected with the same care as our food. Local ales, perfectly kept and full of character, sit alongside crisp coastal whites and rich reds that complement hearty dishes beautifully. A thoughtfully crafted gin and tonic, or a skillfully presented cocktail, these are honest, well-balanced flavours that reflect the land and sea around us. Nothing flashy, just drinks that whisper rather than shout, leaving a quiet, memorable impression, those that belong effortlessly to the moment.

A Sunday Tradition
The Sunday roast, an age old British tradition, reimagined with a playful nod in our pub. Perfectly roasted meats, spuds with a satisfying crunch, Yorkshires puffed up like proud old hats, and seasonal veg with just the right bite. All bathed in chefs rich, glossy gravy. It’s a meal that feels like a hug from history, comforting, familiar, tasty, but done with just enough finesse to keep things interesting. A proper Sunday, done right.

Outside Space
The outdoor dining space is simple, exquisitely designed, and quietly beautiful. Wooden tables on the high street catch the afternoon sun, with local florabunda brushing the air with scent. You can hear the soft clink of glasses, the hum of conversation, maybe the faint cry of a gull or blackbird overhead. It’s the kind of spot where a pint of local ale or a crisp glass of white feels just right, and where food tastes better simply because you’re outside, with time to spare and nothing to prove, just watch for the rain and enjoy the people watching.

Alice in Wonderland Events Suite
Beyond the bustle of the bar, Upstairs at The Cross Keys, there’s the Alice in Wonderland Room, yes, really. It’s a function room with just enough quirky charm without being ridiculous. Seats about 30, holds 50 standing, and has all the proper kit, projector, Wi-Fi, the lot. It’s tastefully decorated, slightly eccentric, but entirely practical for dinners, meetings, or just a decent get-together with friends and a pint.
