A Rich History

The Cross Keys in Nottingham was built in the 1890s, designed by local architect Robert Evans, known for shaping much of the city’s Victorian character. Originally part of the Home Brewery estate, it became a favourite with lace workers and market traders in the bustling Lace Market district.

Landlords like Arthur Gibbons in the 1930s and later the Warman family helped cement its reputation as a friendly, well-kept house. In recent years, it was beautifully restored with its original features, sweeping ceilings, tiled bar, and grand façade while adding modern comfort. A city pub full of history, heart, and quiet elegance.
